Festivals have returned in force this year, and this week it is the turn of Latitude , our Suffolk favourite.

Normally we’d be prescribing wellies and a parka as essential kit, but we’re being bold with our festival edit this year and banking on sunshine rather than preparing for mud.

Some of the trends we’ve highlighted in previous blogs this year make perfect selections; think crochet and anything with a crafty, artisanal feel, for example.

If the 70s-inspired mini dress feels a bit too brave, then a loose knit to throw on when the heat fades works well. Try it over a floaty printed maxi dress, or shorts.

The pure joy and celebratory vibe of a festival means there’s no better excuse to dress up and put on a bit of glitz. A cropped sequin top at 11am. Sure, why not? Or get the look with shiny beads, bangles, or shimmery shoes.

Jumpsuits are the perfect all-day choice, especially when you want to stay cool, look chic and be really comfortable (and who doesn’t?) Seek out this season’s bold colours or gorgeous prints, from delicate florals to bold swirls and even lurex stripes.

Whether you’re partying at home or embracing one of the many festivals due to be pitching their tents over the next few weeks our advice is simple: be confident in your own style, embrace this season’s trends if they take your fancy, and above all, have a wonderful time.
